User/Machine Recovery

AlertBoot provides a Challenge/Recovery solution when users are unable to access their machines. This solution works on the premise that the users needing recovery provide identifying information to the Alertboot Administrator, and in return, receive a "response" that will enable them to access their locked machine and resume work.

 

Recovery is needed by users when they:

 

 

In such circumstances, the user can do the following:

 

  1. Access the self-service User/Machine Recovery screen by entering their username, computer ID, and Challenge code, and receive a Response Code from the screen, in return.

 

  1. If the self-service screen does not yield desired results, the user should call AlertBoot Support and get assistance from an Administrator.
     

  2. If the AlertBoot Administrator is unable to help, users should call their organization's HelpDesk.
