Password policies define the rules to set up passwords used to log into a AlertBoot-protected system. Policy rules specify combinations of characters and letters that can and cannot be used to create a password for a user. Rules also specify length, life, and other details for the password.
NOTE: If password rules have been defined in the User/Machine Setup Password Policies screen, do not define password policies in network’s Active Directory infrastructure.
To specify password policies for users in an AlertBoot-protected system:
Click Users/Machines
on the AlertBoot home page.
Click Setup on the left navigation panel of the Users/Machines page, and click Password Policies option under Setup.
The Password Policy screen is displayed.
You can define specifications for the passwords you provide to the end user to log into the system.
Disable the password policy?: Check this option to disable password policies for all of your AlertBoot protected machines.
