There are two options for saving a report:
Save |
This saves a new version of the existing report. It overwrites the current build with your new settings. You can always restore a report to a previous version, if you'd like. See Permissions and Versions | |
Save As |
This allows the user to save a copy of the report. It does not overwrite the existing report; it simply makes a new copy. |
When you save a report, you will be prompted to fill in a name and a description (both are SEARCHABLE) as well as select a folder in which to store the report.
If you click the Save button, these fields are already filled in with the report's default save information.
If you click the Save As button, these fields will be blank.
If you want a report to be listed in more than one folder, edit the report and click the Save As button to save a copy of that report in a different folder.
If you use the Save button while selecting a different folder, you will move that report to that other folder.
